The Akai Samurai aka Tiptoes lands on Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records this month with the ‘Hi On Ya Luv’ EP.
Glaswegian producerTiptoes is riding high right now coming off the back of releases on Moxy Muzik, Nervous Records, SlothBoogie and more. With his funky, disco-influenced beats, Tiptoes is certainly on our ‘one to watch’ list and this new EP on Snatch! Records see’s him join a roster of artists like Michael Bibi, Mark Broom, Josh Butler and Tete De La Course.
The EP opens with title track ‘Hi On Ya Luv’. Rolling organ grooves, punchy 4/4 drums and cool female vocals all combine to create a great 90’s feel House vibe. ‘How Low Can You Go’ is a more deeper, full-throttle track. Bulbous bass tones, filtered disco loops and a cool ghetto vocal.
