The Godfather of House turns 70 this January, fabric presents a celebration of his life and legacy by those that knew him the best.
The Frankie Knuckles Foundation presents: ‘For Frankie’, a special milestone tribute to the late great House DJ. It is now 10 years since the passing of Frankie Knuckles regarded by many as the architect of the global House sound. Frankie’s musical influence is profound and relevant to a whole new generation of producers and DJs. His legacy lives on with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, a not for profit, cultural and educational organisation dedicated to the causes that he advocated including music in schools, LGBTQ homelessness, AIDS research / prevention and diabetes research / education.

This coming January Frankie would have celebrated his 70th Birthday – in honour of this event a collection of the international community’s biggest house DJs have come together to pay tribute and honour his legacy. This will all be held at fabric, one of the UK’s most enduring and musically authentic venues.
All DJs that are featured had a connection and relationship with Frankie, from Eric Kupper who was his long time production partner, to worldwide friends, NYC DJ Tedd Patterson and the UK’s very own CJ Mackintosh and Marcia Carr. DJ talent will be flying in from NYC, Chicago and Moplen from Italy to celebrate and be part of this event.
This will be a positive and inclusive event that seeks to unite the House community, ‘For Frankie’ events will feature worldwide across 2025.
