A collaborative EP see’s Igor Gonya joined by Bauhouse and Melbourne Drum Authority for the double sided ‘No Smoke / The Industry’ with Sebb Junior on remix duties.
Russian producer Igor Gonya has been one of Moscows prominent figures as of late. The Lisztomania boss has been making moves on labels like Plastik People, King Street Sounds and Ready Mix Records and now he’s ready to release this collaborative EP on jazzy house label Esquimau for their fourth release.
The EP’s first track is ‘No Smoke’. Co-produced by Bauhause, this cut is a deliciously deep, groovy number full of of string bass notes, delicate piano keys and synth melodies. Sebb Junior‘s remix of this track breathes energy into the groove with a tougher 4/4 arrangement underpinned by rolling bass lines. Our pals Melbourne Drum Authority jump into the party for ‘The Industry’ which is a cool, jazzy affair led by dazzling Rhodes, punchy kicks, and a cool DMX sounding acapella. This one bangs!
