Nick Curly’s Cécille Records is ready to unleash this four track groover the ‘Chaos’ EP by EASTTOWN this April.
Dutch producer/DJ EASTTOWN joins the ranks of Cécille Records off the back of releases on labels like ElRow Music, Franky Rizardo’s LTF Records, Folamour’s House Of Love and Amsterdam’s NEED Music. Nick Curly and Marc Scholl’s Cécille is a premium output of quality electronic music and has released music from the likes of Sidney Charles, Butch, Reboot and Leon to name but a few.
This new EP ‘Chaos’ is a collection of four enigmatic cuts each with their own sound dynamic. The title-track is a rolling 4/4 groove with swollen synths pulses, breathy ad-libs, and swirling hi-end stabs that create a lovely filtered sound. ‘Passion’ is more of the same, this one ventures into a more French filtered sound with a snaking bass line to die for. ‘Athletic’ is our favourite, this old school groove is just a beast. Tinkering organ melodies, rich synth chords and low-slung bass lines all come together to make this peak time energetic weapon. ‘Circles’ closes the EP with it’s tense, late-night nuances built of maddening effected synths garbles and tightly-knitted drum lines with bulbous bass tones.
The ‘Chaos’ EP is out on Cécille Records from April 26th, 2024. Pre order here.
