Veteran producer Kon has twisted and sound clashed Prince with Chic to an interesting outcome, available now.
Boston-rasied funkster Kon aka King Of Nothing was born out of the American soul/funk scene of the 70’s. Raised in a musical family, the percussive beat maker grew into dj’in and production in the 90’s and since then has been releasing a steady slew of quality remixes/edits on labels like BBE, Bridge Boots, Soul Clap and Glitterbox.
This new release is two workable yet unthinkable mashup/edits of Prince classics. First up is ‘Doves Your Love’, the Prince classic ‘When Doves Cry’ is placed over the ever incredibly funky bass line of Chic’s ‘I Want Your Love’. Then it’s the turn of ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ which gets mixed with a flavoursome bass line from classic we all should know.
