The EP ‘Get Back To The Fonk’ opens with the title-track which is a skippy, plunging bass-led groove juxtaposed by bright, joyful organ stabs. There’s nice breathy spoken textures and airy pads in the proceedings, all cultivating in a well worked House groove. ‘Don’t Stop’ is of similar vein. STEAW brings tight drum lines, and layers of keys and organs to fill out this working groove that will warm floors up lovely. ‘In My Body’s House’ is a 90’s affair with stabby keys, piano chords, synth sax riffs and a wonderful diva-like ad-lib. ‘Grey Matter’ delves a little deeper with plunging synth chords and heavy-reverb soaked male vocals, look out for the cool discotized hits, they sound great.
