Dutch brother/sister duo Shermanology take Boyz II Men’s ‘Motown Philly’ for a 2023 run out this November.
On paper you may think “WHAT?” but Shermanology have done the unthinkable and switched up the classic Boyz II Men classic ‘Motown Philly’ into a dirty heads down groover, and boy does it bang! Released in 1992 on the debut album ‘Cooleyhighharmony‘ the track was a perfect example of new jack swing sound flowing through American radios. Now in 2023 Andy Sherman and sister Dorothy Sherman are following up from releases on the likes of Defected, elrow and Madhouse by returning to Three Six Zero with the charming groover.

The track is full of lively horn re-samples, low-slung bass tones, cleverly chopped up vocal samples as well as keeping the meat of the track’s original vocals.
