Nightmares On Wax releases the third instalment of his CLUB E.A.S.E. series which pays homage to N.O.W.’s early clubbing days.
In this new offering, “Reclaim The Balcony pt2,” N.O.W. masterfully channels the spirit of sweaty summer nights in Ibiza. The track is a sonic time machine, compacting tribal elements into a percussive, bouncing groove that captures the essence of unforgettable dancefloor moments.
“Come On Then (Bonus)” offers a deeper and grittier musical experience, perfect for those late-night sessions. It incorporates squelchy electro DX-7 bass, infusing a distinctive and edgy vibe into the track, stirring the body and the soul of listeners.
Speaking about CLUB E.A.S.E. part 3, Nightmares On Wax expands: “This 3rd drop of my CLUB E.A.S.E. is the track ‘Reclaim The Balcony pt2’. Part 1 was originally inspired by me and Wolfgang Haffner going to Cocoon Ibiza on a Monday, listening to Villalobos and others and seeing the tribal element in there. I had this sample in this track where I thought it had a gospel element to it but also had a tribal element to it so we thought we would re-capture that whole tribal element with a bit of a Jazz form to it. Part 1 was originally released in 2017, for part 2 I’ve beefed it up and taken it to another level for a deeper cut. This series also includes the track ” Come On Then (Bonus)” in which I’ve gone for a deeper DX-7 bass after-hours style DJ tool. Something for the afters, something a little bit dirty and something a little bit darker and mischievous but something that’s still with that 90s hip hop style house beats.”
Additionally, N.O.W. has unveiled an exclusive collection of CLUB E.A.S.E. merchandise, featuring a slip mat and a purple branded t-shirt. He continues his busy international DJ tour, across The US, Europe, and the UK, including an extraordinary takeover event hosted by N.O.W. at HERE Outernet in the heart of London on November 4th.
For the last 30 years, as Warp’s longest-serving signing, George Evelyn has consistently been at the forefront of contemporary music blending together electronica, jazz, hip-hop, techno, dub, funk and soul. CLUB E.A.S.E., gives an in-depth understanding of N.O.W. as a DJ during his formative days in Leeds, he says: “CLUB E.A.S.E. is a peek into my dj world and dips into the dirty house music world that N.O.W. grew up on.”
