Two more disco edits from them rascals at Semi-Skimmed Edits land this November, and boy are they funky cool.
Owned by Manc disco enthusiast James Greenwood, Semi-Skimmed Edits has previously put out five editions of its cool edit series and to date, none have disappointed. This sixth volume is like the ones before untagged but we assume it’s Greenwood behind the desk.
‘Under Your Spell’ is a straight up Paradise Garage type of anthem. Cool, sultry, sexy Disco with that classic strings sounds and a beautiful female vocal. We tried Shazam but no joy… if anyone knows the sample drops us a line! On the flip is ‘Jog On’. This is a more funky jazz number with loads of brass riffs, low-slung string bass lines and cool sax leads.
Both tracks are pretty special and both deserve to reach the right hands and ears. Go buy them!
