Ethereal tackle from Balearic duo Coyote who load us with feels for their ‘Coyote Special Editions Vol 2’ on Magic Wand.
Known for their delights on ‘Is It Balearic?’ and sister label Magic Wand, Coyote have been teasing with this new volume of diggers delights since back in June. Played by the likes of Phil Cooper, Ken Fan and Chris Coco, Coyote have a continual love affair with genuinely incredible sounding music, crossing genres from dub, reggae, downtempo and Balearica.
This ‘new’ ‘Coyote Special Editions Vol 2’ is made up of four lovely offerings. ‘Lonely’ is a shimmering, soul enriching number with eastern nuances whilst ‘Western Revolution’ is a laid back drum groove perfect for chilled, sun-drenched scenarios. Featuring the much loved ‘Revolution Will Not Be Televised’ speech, this could have been made in the early 90’s and we loved every second of it! That piano and guitar! ‘Love Home’ is an ode to American folk rock and is apple pie sweet. ‘Luca’ reminded us of Chris Rea’s ‘Josephine’ in ambience, sultry and panting it’s a real laid-back wonder.
The ‘Coyote Special Editions Vol 2’ is available to pre order here for a December release.
