Chicago head Jamie 3:26 is back with three more choice re-rubbed disco edits on his 326 imprint this March.
Jamie 3:26 is a name synonymous with quality deep, soulful, funky House music. The once dancer at Ron Hardy’s Muzik Box, Jamie has been a prolific producer since 2008 with a excellent edit series as well as releases on labels like Rekids, Glitterbox, Faith and Toy Tonics and many more.
A year on since the first volume of ‘Dancefloor Damage’, Jamie 3:26 the Windy City producer now based out of Holland,is back with Volume Two and it is just as special. Opening with ‘Flyin’ a flute-laden, quick tempo, live, organic house jam, we are pulled in to Jamie’s soulful psyche. Next is ‘Funkin’ (Hardy Tribute version)’. All we hear straight away is the glorious ‘Funkanova’ by Wood, Brass & Steel. The strings, funky bass lines, brass stabs, this is pure magic. ‘Jungle DJ Tool’ closes the EP with it’s electric guitar riffs, early electronic synth bleeps and bulbous sine-like bass tones.
Jamie 3:26 is a master at revamping/editing rare and special disco grooves. From start to finish, these are special.
