Simon Kidzoo makes his debut on No Art to close 2024 with his groove-infused ‘Flirt’ EP.
Marking his first appearance on ANOTR’s renowned No Art imprint to close another impressive year for the Amsterdam favourites, Dutch DJ/producer Simon Kidzoo’s arrival comes on the heels of a string of releases via labels such as Saved, Club Bad, and Nervous. Recognised for his groove-led productions, Kidzoo’s music has earned the support of heavyweight names such as The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Black Coffee and Pete Tong. Perfectly aligning with the label’s global reputation for delivering forward-thinking house music, his three-track ‘Flirt’ EP explores a fusion of classic and contemporary disco and funk influences across a collection of house tracks brimming with energy and personality.
The title track, ‘Flirt’, is a buoyant opener, fusing an irresistible bassline at the track’s core with infectious vocal loops and rolling organic drums for a dancefloor-ready groove. ‘Misbehavin’ follows, offering a funk-laden journey through soaring melodies, warm textures and vibrant brass leads for a playful ride, before ‘Freaks Don’t Sleep’ blends hypnotic disco-infused loops and driving grooves for a standout finalé.
