US producer Ralph Session continues to impress us, this time around it’s the ‘Late Night Madness’ EP out soon on SlothBoogie Records.

Ralph Session, the New York City DJ and producer, has been making waves with his signature fusion of New York and Chicago house styles. His unique approach to deep, soulful rhythms has caught the ear of influential figures like Jimpster, Laurent Garnier, and Mr. V, positioning him as a rising star in the global house scene. After a strong year that has seen him release on respected labels such as Local Talk, Freerange, and Quintessentials, Ralph’s latest offering, Late Night Madness EP, lands on SlothBoogie and shows why he’s one to watch.

The Late Night Madness EP kicks off with the title track, “Madness,” setting the tone with moody, late-night energy. The track is a masterclass in building tension, as deep chords and driving percussion slowly swirl and intensify. Just when you think you’ve settled into the groove, the track takes an unexpected turn with a G-funk-inspired breakdown and bubbling synth tones, adding a playful edge to the deep house foundation. It’s the kind of track you can imagine reverberating through a darkened dancefloor, the kind of beat that keeps you hooked long after the night has turned into early morning.

“You Are Here” continues the journey, keeping the twilight atmosphere intact. The track is a seductive, introspective number, drenched in chopped-up jazzy loops and crackling drums. The atmosphere is hazy, evocative of those post-party moments when the energy is fading but the music still carries a seductive pull. The soft, hushed vocals add a layer of intimacy to the piece, making it feel like a private conversation unfolding on the dancefloor. This track is a beautiful love letter to the after-hours scene, inviting the listener to linger in the atmosphere of the night.

The final track, “Against The Clock,” ramps up the energy, taking us into peak-time territory. A burst of powerful piano stabs is paired with a driving bassline that practically demands you to move. It’s a track designed for the high-energy moments when the crowd is fully immersed in the rhythm. The track feels like a climactic moment, elevating the mood with its infectious grooves and vibrant energy.

Overall, Late Night Madness is a fitting testament to Ralph Session’s ability to blend deep, soulful house with subtle nods to other genres like G-funk and jazz. Each track is well-crafted and distinct, offering a journey through the many moods and moments of a night out, from the mellow beginnings to the high-energy peak. If you’re a fan of classic house sounds with a modern twist, this EP is definitely worth adding to your collection.
