The creator of some of our favourite jazz-influenced house tracks Bellaire joins the Glitterbox camp with ‘Never Stop Dancing’.
The fabulous ‘Paris City Jazz’ EP that came out in 2018 on French label AOC Records was a massive underground success. Cementing French producer Bellaire as one of the leading jazz infused House artists coming out of Europe. Followed up by the ‘Framework’ EP, the frenchman could do no wrong. Tracks like ‘Ah’ were favourited by many including us at KOTT. Later ‘Date At The Disco’ for us saw Bellaire move to a more commercial sound that was keeping up with the popularity of that disco sound that was sweeping modern dance floors.
Fast forward to 2024 and Bellaire has joined Defected’s disco sister Glitterbox. A lucrative move for Bellaire no doubt, performing at Hï Ibiza recently, joining the power brand will indeed provide a wider audience for the producer/DJ. This new track that features gospel vocalist Aaron K. Gray is entitled ‘Never Stop Dancing’. It’s a sickly sweet gospel house track that see’s Bellaire take on the typical Glitterbox blueprint. Uplifting piano lines, church organ melodies, grooving bass lines and a gospel choir in full flow. For us, and we will be honest, it’s not one that will make our playlists. We’re not going to say we don’t like it, as that wouldn’t be fair on Bellaire, but it’s certainly not his best work for us and hopefully it’s not going to be the end of the old Bellaire and the start of formulated disco grooves from the frenchman as we’ve seen with other Glitterbox family members.
‘Never Stop Dancing’ is out on Glitterbox from 18th October 2024, Pre order here.
