French funkster Young Pulse lines up this fun-filled disco weapon entitled ‘Shake Your Body’ on Funky French League that has a tougher street mix on the flip.
Originally from the French hip-hop scene, Young Pulse has shifted paths and moved into disco/house over the last few years. Spending time in the US honing his craft, Julien Ozonder aka Young Pulse has made a name for himself releasing quietly disco edit on GAMM, breaking through to the dance floors back in 2022 with Natalie Nova and their take on Ultra Nate’s ‘Free’.
Originally released on digital back in May 2024, these new tracks to vinyl ‘Shake Your Body’ is a define tale of two tapes. Released on the French label Funky French League which is a music collective from the region, the ‘Disco Mix’ is a classic groovy number with quirky, squelched bass grooves, funky guitars, soaring strings and of course that whispered vocal.
On the flip is the ‘Beat Street Mix’. Taken from early breakdance electro influences, this tough breakbeat stylised groove has Acid flavours and will have the breakers of 2024 in awe of this material.
