After a massive hiatus Benedict returns with two gorgeous deep house grooves released on their own fledgling label.

1994 to 1995 seems to have been the last time Benedict was a active producer working alongside the likes of D.J. Quinn. Now in 2024 the mysterious figure is back with two helpings of the same gloriously sampled track for us all to swoon and groove over.

First up is ‘Something’. Sampling what we first thought was US singer Maxwell or maybe even Terence Trent D’Arby, we don’t have an answer, this silky smooth groove is full of crunchy drum machine hits and plunging key chords and scintillating bass tones, but when that riding percussion kicks in, were in house heaven. ‘Something Else’ takes the same sample and flips it into a more kick-driven affair with soul-machine love spit out.

The ‘Something’ EP is out now on vinyl here via Juno.
