Mexican talent Pahua is about to take over Razor-N-Tape with a host of remixes of her debut LP ‘Habita’.
Pahua blazed her own solo path in 2020, developing her unique Latin electronic sound through a series of EPs that culminated in the release of her standout LP Habita in 2023. With millions of plays, this material established Pahua as an essential voice of modern alternative folk/pop in Latin America.
This remix of ‘Espantapajaros’ by Quebec producer Poirier is the pick of the bunch so far that we’ve heard. Featuring the sultry vocals of La Perla, this flute-led groove is so grooving it enchants you. Low-slung, fiery drums roll and capture whilst airy pads dance in the space left by all this latin charm and funk.
