Big Italo House reissue from German label Sound Metaphors of Saurus’ ‘Sexline’ EP.
Early 90’s Italian progressive house EP originally released in 1992 on the Muzak imprint, co-founded by Leo Mas. The ‘Sexline’ EP came from the mind of Simon Longo aka Saurus. During the 90s Simon went on recording for several independent Italian dance labels such as most notably MUZAK, Model Inc and his own Modern Innovation, he then abruptly exited the scene due to an adverse health event affecting his son.
During the year 2000 he obtained a Master in Art at Westminster University in London and subsequently become involved in the contemporary art scene. He exhibited internationally most notably at Noise and Fury Moscow with Alexei Borisov, The Ritmic Section, Institute of Contemporary Art Research Kyiv, Art and the Senses, Science Oxford Gallery UK, Dallas Festival of Light USA, With Max Schlesher “Max with a Keitai” (2007) film archive in the Forum des Images, Paris. Today Simon continue to work and develop his practice in sound and audiovisual composition and installation art.
‘Sexline’ is the standout track for us of the four offerings with Trent’s 6AM mix of ‘Futureless’ a close second.
The reissue of ‘Sexline’ is out now on Sound Metaphors here.
