Veteran American producer Mike Love hails from Milwaukee originally but now resides in Chicago. With over 30 years as a DJ and producer his unique blends and edits has took him to the doorstep of many American selectors. In 2008 he dropped the legendary mix album ‘Nigerian Gangster’, a mashup of Jay-Z’s American Gangster & Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, since then his mixtape series have grown with strength.
I’ve had success with the “And The MFN Drums” series for a few years with acapellas over house tracks, but what if I took multis and stems and did edits with the singer over the original session drums instead? It would be the illest shit ever. Mike Love
