Swiss producer Lea Lisa has possibly curated one of the tastiest classic/deep house compilations of the year so far. ‘Many Shades Of House’ is out end of March.
A DJ since the early 90’s, Lea Lisa has become a steady, dependable figure in the underground House scene. From mixing studios in Berlin, the sunny shores of the SunceBeat festival to dance floors across New York, Lea has captivated crowds as a DJ as well as moved floors as a producer with releases on labels like Wolf Music, Inner Balance and the mighty Phonica Records.
This compilation is carefully curated by Lisa, choosing tracks that are cherished by not only herself but the underground crowd especially the deep house heads. Some of the tracks included have never been reissued after their original release, leaving them heavily sought after and this compilation could be the answer to many a prayer.
Tracks included come from the likes of Kerri Chandler’s 1997 cut ‘Be There’, euphoric tribal track ‘Ekeyz’ from Pure Science from back in 1998, Ron Trent’s magical touchings of N’Dambi’s ‘Can’t Change Me’ and the 1999 deep house anthem ‘Blax Thanx’ by Abacus. Overall this is a very strong collection of deep house nuggets that will plug the gap in many collectors crates after many years of digging.
The ‘Many Shades of House’ is out on 29th of March, 2024. Pre order here.
