Bobby Dreams launches the All Nice Records discography with four deep Chicago house sounding numbers that make up the ‘Let Them Know’ EP.
Portuguese talent Bobby Dreams maybe a new name for many but this new EP may change all that. For lovers of that 80-90’s crunchy Chicago type sound, Bobby Dreams has created four quality grooves that capsulate the gritty, deep vibe of the USA.
The EP opens with ‘Creepin’ which is a hypnotic, piano-laden groove that sounds spacious in places allowing crunchy, gritty analogue machine sounds do their business. ‘Let Them Know’ goes a touch more rhythmic with cool reverb effects on ghostly synths over a classic 909 kit. ‘Afterhours’ is a late-night drive into organ-led, deep-plunging vibes. ‘Get Busy’ dances closer to energetic territories with its bright synths and icy percussive notes.
Overall this is a fine opening account for Portuguese label All Nice Records and a noteworthy entry to our catalogue from Bobby Dreams.
