Two of Ibiza’s most loved characters DJ Pippi and Willie Graff release ‘Golden Hour’ with Jade PraiZe on vocals, out on Music For Dreams now.
Giuseppe Nuzzo aka DJ Pippi is the iconic Italian DJ that has been adopted and embraced by Ibiza since his first arrival on the island back in early 80’s. As a resident DJ at Pacha he carved out his career spanning residency and as a producer he has released on labels like D:vision, Urbana and Compost Disco. As for Willie Graff he was born and raised on the island of Eivissa. A friend of Pippi’s for many years, Graff has also been a resident at Pacha for many years and now splits his time between Ibiza and New York. Willie has a profile slew of tracks on labels like Big Love, Freerange, Faze Action and now he returns alongside Pippi to Kenneth Bager’s Music For Dreams institute.
‘Golden Hour’ is from the third studio album of Pippi & Graff’s entitled ‘Universal Language’. The track is a brooding Balearic noir nod to the late 80’s. There’s hints of St. Etienne with the iconic rim shots sounding like ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’. There’s then that gorgeous synth melody that had us reminiscing of BBE’s ‘Seven Days’. The track is beautifully put together and a real testament to the pairings ear for the downtempo allure. Got to shout out half English half Dutch Singer SongWriter Jade PraiZe who delivers a exceptional vocal.
