Unknown figure Bumphrey Hogart bootlegs four undeniable classics and comes out with some interesting versions.
Absolutely no idea about the origins of artist or label with this one. Alas this seems to be the first release on Hogart Sweden and ‘Bumphrey’ is said to be a Swedish producer, but again no credit to anyone on this one as of yet. ‘Love Phantasie’ is a fiery Detroit techno track with that Chic acapella mixed to devastating effect. ‘Voodoo Gay’ takes the old A Guy Called Gerald track to a different planet! Live bass, Rhodes and enough compression to kill a horse. ‘X-E-Doss’ goes all in on the classic 303 machine, deep as the trench and also has got that huge Bob Marley acapella mixed on top. ‘Xpand Your Coma’ is that 90s piano anthem in a totally new version and also has pieces of the festival killer “Coma” in there.
