Soundcrash and Brixton Disco Festival welcome one of the most iconic figures Grace Jones to headline Love Motion, a brand new disco, soul and electronic all-dayer on Friday, 26 July.
Grace Jones, as a singer, actress, author, traveller, artist and revolutionist, has been a shape-shifting, trouble-making meta-presence in the entertainment universe since she emerged as a model in New York City and Paris in the early 1970s. She’ll bring her electric presence to South London this year.
Also announced for Love Motion is the noted Irish singer and dance-pop star Róisín Murphy. She first became known in the 1990s as one-half of the pop duo Moloko, later embarking on a solo career and becoming one of dance music’s most enduring voices. The legendary party-starters Horse Meat Disco also join the party. The four-strong DJ collective bringing love and dancing to the world is renowned as a powerful force in queer and club culture.
Rounding off this huge announcement is the French ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris, disco DJ from London, Oli Keens, and Brighton-based instrumentalist, producer and DJ, J-Felix, who is flying the flag for modern funk and UK soul.

South Facing is a multi-day, open-air festival that takes place each summer in the historically significant Crystal Palace Bowl. The festival boasts a huge choice of top-end street food and drink options and is easily accessible from London and all over the South East thanks to the various train and bus routes, including Crystal Palace (TfL Overground and National Rail), Penge West (TfL Overground and National Rail), and Gipsy Hill (National Rail).
