Montreal-based artist Fred Everything enlists the vocal help of US legend Robert Owens for ‘Never’ that’s out on Lazy Days in February.
Canadian producer/DJ Fred Everything is an electronic music prodigy. His love of music is clear for us to hear and see. Whether it’s lush Deep House grooves or floating ambient soundtracks, Fred can produce the goods. With releases on labels like 20:20 Vision, Shaboom, Large, Defected, Madhouse and everyone in between, its clear the Quebec-born artist has earned the respect of both his peers and the dance floors.
This new release ‘Never’ is from Fred’s forthcoming LP ‘Love, Care, Kindness & Hope’. Set for release this May, this lead single features the vocal talent of Chicago legend Robert Owens. The voice behind the iconic Frankie Knuckles track ‘Tears’ and his own much-love track ‘I’ll Be Your Friend’ lends his emotive sound to Fred’s track following on from their 2021 collaboration and it’s a match made in heaven, again.
The track is cavernous sound. Delving deep into the frequencies with a beautiful analogue bass line, the track is laced with deposits of cool jazzy horn sections and shimmering toy piano sounds and of course Owens embracement of each word decanted. The track is like a piece of far down, never ending water, every time we listen to it we discover some new texture, a new horn, a. new pad, and it will be played many a time. Worth noting too is remixes from Osunlade, Waajeed and Fred coming in the Spring 2024.
‘Never’ is out on Lazy Days Recordings from February 14th, 2024. Pre order here when it’s uploaded. Have a sneak peak listen below.
