Introducing the debut release from the fresh Belgian imprint L.I.T.S. titled “Banana Resort” by Different Noodles.
L.I.T.S., which stands for ‘Lost In The Swirls,’ might strike a familiar chord among those well-versed in the parallel world of house music. Ah, yes! Swirl People! Indeed, these mischievous Belgian producers are the masterminds behind this project and the label itself.
The focus of their new venture lies predominantly on re-issuing and unearthing hidden gems from their archives. “Banana Resort” leads the way as a highly anticipated 3-track EP that has been stirring excitement for years, earning praise from Ryan Elliot, a highly notable figure at Berghain/Panorama Bar. It has an early West Coast tech house feel as well as hints of Chicago greats like Boo Williams and Glenn Underground. It’s a super smooth and cool, breezy and balmy groove then ‘Mr Boogie’ gets more playful with bobbling drums and bright chord stabs under jazz leads. ‘Flame’ closes out a super strong EP with a more paired back sound built on fat drums and prying bass.
The ‘Banana Resort’ EP is out on L.I.T.S. now, get it here.
