Parisian producer Shiba Shan touches down with two hefty house cuts laden with hip-hop inspiration on Insomniac Records this November.
Finding his path from a lengthy career based around Hip-Hop which turned to being inspired by Chicago House music, French producer/DJ Shiba San has an arsenal of ideas at his disposal. Releases on Relief, Dirtybird, Suara, DFTD and VIVa alone have gave us a taste of Shiba’s taste for groovy melodies and bass heavy drum lines but now for an end of year double-release he lands on the US established Insomniac Records.
‘Are You Feeling’ is a real weapon, sampling Gang Starr’s “Mass Appeal” the track is a mixture of melodic synth riffs and pumping 4/4 lines littered with Starr’s stunning flows. When the bass drops on this one, it’s hefty! ‘Stay Focused’ features Millad and this is a tasty tech-house roller with ignited synth lines, bulbous bass tones and interesting vocal chops.
