A couple of stellar remixes/edits from Radio Slave and Riva Starr of 2000 & ONE’s ‘Wan Poku Moro’ have landed on Rekids.
Originally released back in 2009, by Dutch producer Dylan Hermelyn under his 2000 & ONE alias, ‘Wan Poku Moro’ was a real ear worm for the many house heads who got their hands on the track. The moniker came from a simple copying of Dylan’s PIN number which at the time was 2,0,0,1 (note he has changed it since then).
Now dormant for nearly a decade, the 2000 & ONE name is back on our stereos, albeit through a extended edit from Rekids boss Radio Slave and then a Riva Starr delightful remix one expects from the Snatch! boss. The extended edit keeps true to the original simply indulging in its percussive rhythms and solid drum groove whilst letting that Holloway vocal do its thing. Riva takes the track on a late night, dance floor tour. Grinding pumping drums with low-slung bass lines and a classic high string, the track is a proper funky groove, Riva on full form with this one.
