Prolific Deep House head Fred Everything is ready to drop his new double-sided release and we’ve got the first full listen of ‘The Quest’ for you all.

Since the late 90’s Fred Everything has been a staple in the Deep House sound of the US/Canada scene. A release entitled ‘Without’ ‘on 20:20 Vision really struck gold for us and other cuts like his remix of Derrick Carter’s ‘Life Is Like A Circle’ and ‘Sobeck’ on Shaboom Records are all excellent examples of Fred’s ear worm grooves.

His label Lazy Days Recordings is an inner sanctum of the heralded Bay Area Deep House vibe. Names like Milton Jackson, Demarkus Lewis, Brett Johnson, Atjazz and many more are frequenters on the label and this new EP joins the long list of merits to the Montreal based-label.

This new EP is a double-sided release and we’ve got the premiere of ‘The Quest’ to bring to you. The track is sultry, silky Deep House affair with skipping hats, steady kicks, airy pads and spoken vocals that uplift and resonate with todays struggles. The real magic come in the jazzy instrumentation, it’s a delight to hear real music in ‘dance’ tracks and from the strings to brass, this is a proper delight to hear. A real winner for us.

‘Zagreb/The Quest’ is out on Lazy Days Recordings from November 10th, 2023. Pre order via Bandcamp here.
