More unknown Disco sampled delights land courtesy of The Greatest Pleasure and ‘(Sharing) Ecstasy’, out now on JOY.
Vinyl white labels are getting more and more ambiguous in 2023. The resurgence of the Disco edits is the prominent cause and this new one from The Greatest Pleasure is worth a look. This limited hand-stamped mysterious edit/remix of Gerald Mallory’s ‘Lay it Down on Me’ by TT ( could be Tom Trago or Todd Terje maybe?) has a vintage French House club vibe, full of cool filtered Disco loops, very reminiscent of Stardust. Lovely work.
