Finally seeing the day of light is this set of remixes of Gabriels’ ‘Love And Hate In A Different Time’ from the legendary Greg Wilson & Ché Wilson.

LA-Based ray of hope Gabriels released ‘Love And Hate In Different Time’ back in 2020 and won over literally everyone. We have never heard a bad word spoke of the American trio. Jacob Lusk and producers Ari Balouzian and Ryan Hope certainly provided the blueprint for modern soul/funk and its lead single, the title-track became an unstoppable anthem. Remixes were always going to play a part and Kerri Chandler so far had led the way for us but we heard of this new release quite some time back.

Known for his 80’s Electro sound and his ability to fuse elements from different genres, Greg Wilson was a perfect candidate to take this waypoint to another level. Joining forces with Keep it Cryptic’s Ché Wilson, their remix is a funk, nu-disco affair with the illumination still aimed at Lusk’s perfect vocal performance. The strings, the maddening synths, the organic drums, even the handclaps; the remix is a testimony of Wilson’s love for the track.

The vinyl picture disc will land on Atlas Artsist from 24th Nov 2023, pre order here.
