Leading electronic music charity Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) is set to host a panel at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2023.
ADE takes place from 18th-22nd October, and LNADJ is set to host two panels at the event, on Wednesday 19th and again on Thursday 20th. Titled ‘Creating Space’, the panel is focused on the charity’s Get Equipped initiative, showcasing how the power of music can support disadvantaged youths around the world.
The discussion aims to inspire the audience with insights into how Get Equipped helps young people around the world recover from trauma to experience positive mental health, increased self-esteem, self-discovery, stress relief, and emotional release.
Also at ADE, LNADJ is joining forces with Ravers2Runners to arrange a charity 5k run, which is an opportunity to promote and support the mental health, physical health and wellbeing of ADE attendees. Taking place at the iconic Gashouder in Westerpark at 8:30am on October 19th, the run will bring a deeper sense of community as people run with the purpose to change lives and save lives.
Ravers2Runners are a group of runners with a shared passion for music and parties, and, like LNADJ, mobilise the dance music community to use their irrepressible energy for good.
All money raised will go towards Get Equipped and will help provide DJ, Production and Music equipment to educational and community organisations supporting children and young adults in the UK and beyond. Funds are currently being raised to build a new music studio in Sierra Leone, Africa, at WAYout Arts.
The most recent trip saw a team of seven world-class DJ’s, producers and artists visit Sierra Leone in April to share their skills and inspire creativity using donated kit, supporting the growth and development of young musicians in the area through the power of music and art.
Jonny Lee, Founder of LNADJ commented: “We’re so excited to be heavily involved with Amsterdam Dance Event. A huge international event with people all over the music industry world attending, this is a fantastic opportunity to share our story and get more people involved with inspiring and changing the lives of children through music.
“It is a great sign of where we are that Ravers2Runners would like to collaborate with us on a run that will raise vital funds to help build a new music studio in Sierra Leone. We urge everyone attending, of all running abilities, to spare the time to join us. Whether it’s to clear your head or start the day right, a run will set you up for a fantastic day at the event.”
